Speaking of the well-known city of Trieste, Italy, Puan Anita Abu Bakar (Founder & President of MIASA) had the privilege to witness the Trieste Model when she was invited to speak on 'No restraint' in 2019 at Trieste, Italy. She met up with various leaders in the mental health scene worldwide who share this view and have been tirelessly campaigning for the same cause - the closure of mental institutions and non-coercive treatments.
